New Frogger and Cooking Mama games will be added to Apple Arcade in June

This month’s contributions to Apple Arcade will include a trio of famous Japanese creators. Today, Konami’s Frogger and the Rumbling Ruins (a successor to the early Arcade classic Frogger in Toy Town), which opens on June 3rd, was announced as one of four titles coming to the subscription service next month. Next up is Cooking Mama: Cuisine, which is due on June 17th and requires players to develop their recipes instead of following a pre-made one. Air Twister from Shenmue and OutRun veteran Yu Suzuki will complete the list on June 24th, making it the final game on the list. This is how it’s officially described.

To prevent the planet’s destruction, players will adopt the role of Princess Arch and battle against an alien invasion. In the battle, they’ll unleash their lightning bolts, which will trace exquisite arcs of light across stunning, artistically constructed levels. The fate of the world is in the hands of the player, thanks to an intuitive touchscreen swipe-shooting gameplay mechanic. Apple Arcade is also adding a jigsaw puzzle game to the App Store classics area this month. On June 10th, it will go on sale.

This month, several noteworthy games were released on the Arcade, including updates to Badland and Goat Simulator and a racing featuring characters from Family Guy and King of the Hill. There have also been several releases by well-known Japanese game developers since the service launched, including Hironobu Sakaguchi’s Fantasian and PlatinumGames’s World of Demons and new or updated installments in series like Castlevania, Monster Hunter, and Neko Atsume.
